The latest book by Boris Kalinkov “125 years of N.Y. Vaptsarov Naval Academy- Centuries, Posts, Traditions” has recently been published by FIL Ltd.

The President of the Republic of Bulgaria- M-r Georgi Parvanov gave a very high praise to the edition by saying: “What we have here is a work, which, with its convincing words and rich illustrations, once again makes us feel proud to be Bulgarians, citizens of a maritime country. It’s my profound conviction that the present edition will not only cast new light on the history of our Naval Academy and our naval forces, but will also make a strong emotional, patriotic and educational impact on a broad circle of readers…”

In 2004, the first VIP edition de luxe from the series “Centuries, Post offices, Traditions” by M-r Kalinkov came out, ordered by Silistra Municipality. The book was awarded a golden medal for its participation in class “Literature” in an international exhibition which took place in France, in October 2004. In November 2004 the author Boris Kalinkov was awarded a second golden medal in class “Literature”  for his participation with the same edition during the International Forum “Eurominimax’ and a special prize, granted by M-r Earl Galits, from Miami, Florida, USA. In 2005 the next book from the series “Provat-Burfantu-Ovech-Provadia” was given an award too. Special gratitude for the book was expressed by the Kingdom of Sweden National Library, the French Philatelist Academy, the EU in Brussels, by M-r Josef Volf- vice president of the World Philatelist Federation (FIP) and president of the Philatelist Association of Luxemburg.

All books from the series “Centuries, Post offices, Traditions” are format А4 (1/8 60х90), inner book- 135 gr. chrome-mat, volume 136 pages, full colour print– 4+4, hard-cover– 4+4 mat laminar case in English and Bulgarian in one issuing.

In March 2006 the premiere of the book “110 years of Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry” will be held.
